Ballyseede Castle is celebrating a major achievement after being awarded Gold in the category of Ireland’s Castle & Heritage Wedding Excellence at the prestigious 36th Annual Gold Medal Hotel Awards, held last night at a black-tie ceremony in The Galmont Hotel & Spa, Galway.
The Gold Medal Hotel Awards, now in their 36th year, are recognised as the leading independent awards programme for the Irish hospitality industry. Hosted on Tuesday, 27th January 2026, the event brought together hospitality professionals from across the island of Ireland to celebrate excellence across hotels, resorts, wedding venues, family-friendly staycations and more.
Judged by industry experts, the Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards recognise and reward outstanding standards in hospitality and catering operations nationwide, making Ballyseede Castle’s Gold win a significant endorsement of its reputation as one of Ireland’s most distinguished wedding venues.
