"Just fantastic !"
Goatuk Birmingham, England, Ireland, May 5, 2009

We went back to Ballyseede to celebrate our anniversary. First of all 1 year ago we got married there, we couldn't of asked for a better day, Ballyseede really made the differance. They gave us a fantastic looking wedding venue with all the character needed but the level of service was outstanding. Marnie made sure everything ran like clockwork, plenty of staff when the dinner was being served and then they seemed to melt away until your glass was empty ! Everybody said about Arthur the dog so I won't go on about him :) but the food was also fantastic and everyone there complimented the place.

On return we were the guests whilst another wedding was going on. You would think that there may be some reduction in service but no, once again a very high level of service, fantastic welcoming staff and good food in both the main restaurant and the bar (Did I say good ? I meant wonderful !!!). I simply can't rate this place high enough as a wedding venue and as a hotel.

The manager showed us all the work that had been completed since we were last there and I have to say the place just keeps getting better. Keep up the good work !!!

"Wonderful venue for wedding"

Attended a wedding in Ballyseede Castle in December 05 and I couldn't say enough about it. The experience was wonderful. Log fires, Candles holly and ivy etc. a true Castle experience and what one would expect for the time of year. The food was fabulous and the service second to none. Marnie and her staff made us all feel so relaxed it was as if we were at home. It was so good it was hard to leave. I will certainly go back and bring my friends.

"Very intimate and cosy"

Venue: Ballyseede Castle. Very intimate and cosy, more like a grand home than a hotel. As there are only a few bedrooms (can’t recall about 23 or so), we had the place to ourselves. It was just what we wanted. We has a hot port/whiskey reception and the cosiness of Ballyseede was perfect for a chilly-ish spring day. Marnie was very flexible with food selection, and the meal was cooked to perfection, really nice. They provide silver candle sticks on the tables which really enhanced the atmosphere. Marnie and staff were great. We did have a problem with room booking (as too many people wanted to stay in the hotel) but we resolved that in time. We were in the split level reception room, its worked well.. Only recommendation.. get the band to bring people down to the floor for the first dance... On our video it looks at if there are only a handful of people at the wedding as every congregated at the back on one side of the room. All our guests raved about the venue...

"Absolutely fabulous"

We were trying to locate an ideal setting for our wedding at Christmas and travelled to Ballyseede (as well as many other hotels) with a view to getting married there. We booked in for one night and had the most amazing stay. Soon after we arrived, we drank champagne on the lawn while admiring the long and winding drive covered with flowers and blooming trees, then we refreshed in our HUGE bedroom with extensive views over the estate, had pre-dinner drinks in the coziest of typical Irish bars, gorgeous dinner in the restaurant, following by coffee and more drink!! in their grand drawing room. This is not your typical castle hotel, it is an intimate palatial house. Hence we have chosen it for our own wedding. And the most welcoming Marnie has assured me that my big day will be the best yet!! Highly recommended, a hidden gem.
